Quarry Face

The Quarry Face Demonstration Area is one of Hillhead’s big attractions. Following blasting operations, around 20,000 tonnes of run-of-quarry stone have been moved into position ready for the live equipment demonstrations. The area hosts more than 35 machines and utilizes three benches along an extended length of quarry face.

    Opening the first curated Quarry Face demonstration session on Tuesday, Hyundai will put its equipment in the spotlight as part of Hillhead 2026’s new live show experience. Hosted by broadcaster and technology presenter Nikki Dean, the demo will combine live machine operation with expert commentary and manufacturer insight from the Quarry Face.

    Continuing Tuesday morning’s opening curated Quarry Face session, CASE will showcase its equipment live in action in front of the Hillhead audience. Hosted by Nikki Dean, the demo will offer visitors a close-up look at machine performance, technology and operator capability in a real quarry environment.
Rock Processing

Fondly referred to as 'Crusher Alley', this area draws visitors across the whole western end of the Hillhead showground to see a range of tracked and skid-mounted crushers and screens, scalping grids and stockpiling conveyors.

Machines demonstrating here are fed by material extracted from the Quarry Face Demonstration Area.

    Rock Processing Demo Area
    See a wide range of crushing, screening and material handling equipment put through its paces as leading manufacturers showcase the latest machinery operating in real working conditions throughout the show. Participating companies include Anaconda, Astec Industries, Finlay, Fogmaker, McCloskey, MDS, RubbleCrusher, RUBBLE MASTER and Tesab, with live demonstrations highlighting machine performance, mobility and processing capability across a variety of applications.
East Demo Area

The East Demonstration Area attracts crowds to the east end of the site, where construction and demolition waste is imported on to the site to feed a range of specialist crushers, shredders and screens.

Alongside this, a selection of excavators, wheeled loading shovels, site dumpers, breakers and screening buckets will also be in action.

    A varied line-up of compact plant, attachments and support equipment will be showcased in the East Demonstration Area, with live demonstrations highlighting versatility, handling, productivity and operator control. Participating companies include ACE Plant, Bobcat, Dustquip, Engcon, Herbst, JCB, LiuGong, Portafill and SDLG.

As you enter the show the Registration Demonstration Area offers a fitting welcome to the Hillhead live demo experience, where rock processing and recycling equipment is put through its paces from the moment you arrive.
