Curated Live Demonstrations, Big Kit & Quarry Action

One of Hillhead’s headline attractions, the Quarry Face demonstration area delivers an unrivalled opportunity to see some of the industry’s largest and most advanced machines operating in a live quarry environment. Stretching across three benches along an extended section of quarry face, the area will once again host more than 35 machines in action throughout the show.

New for 2026, selected Quarry Face demonstration sessions will feature specially curated live shows hosted by broadcaster and technology presenter Nikki Dean. Combining live machine operation with expert commentary, manufacturer interviews and giant-screen coverage overlooking the quarry face, the sessions are designed to give visitors a closer look at machine performance, technology and operator capability in real working conditions.

Curated sessions will take place daily at 11:00, 12:30 and 14:00, featuring a rotating line-up of leading manufacturers including JCB, Hitachi, LiuGong, Hyundai, CASE, DEVELON, McHale Komatsu, SANY, XCMG, SBM Mineral Processing and Corgin.

Alongside the curated live shows, the Quarry Face will also host a continuous programme of non-curated demonstrations throughout the day, giving visitors even more opportunities to see heavy equipment operating under demanding quarry conditions. Experience a wide range of excavators, earthmoving and heavy-haulage equipment being put through their paces, with demonstrations focused on machine capability, power, reach and productivity.

Participating manufacturers across the wider Quarry Face demonstration area include CASE, Corgin, DEVELON, Hidromek, Hitachi, Hyundai, JCB, Liebherr, LiuGong, McHale Komatsu, Munro EV, SANY, SBM Mineral Processing, Volvo, Worsley Plant, XCMG and Zoomlion.

    Opening the first curated Quarry Face demonstration session on Tuesday, Hyundai will put its equipment in the spotlight as part of Hillhead 2026’s new live show experience. Hosted by broadcaster and technology presenter Nikki Dean, the demo will combine live machine operation with expert commentary and manufacturer insight from the Quarry Face.

    Quarry Face Demo Area
    Completing the opening curated Quarry Face session on Tuesday, LiuGong will demonstrate its latest equipment as part of Hillhead’s new live show format. Hosted by Nikki Dean, the demo will blend live machine operation with expert commentary and manufacturer insight, giving visitors a close-up view of equipment working in quarry conditions.
