What are the opening times?

The show is open Tuesday - Thursday, our open times are:

Tuesday 09:00 – 18:00

Wednesday 09:00 – 18:00

Thursday 09:00 – 16:00

Is there a cost to visit?

No, Hillhead is free to attend for those in the trade. Visitors associated with the quarrying, construction and recycling industry will be able to register from December 2025. Please note that Hillhead is a trade event and not open to the general public. 

How can I register to attend?

Registration will be available via this website from December 2025.

Can I attend multiple days?

Yes, with so much to see, it is likely you will want to return for a second or third day. Your badge is valid for all 3 days.

What can I expect to see?

Hillhead is the biggest exhibition for the quarrying, construction and recycling industry. It showcases the latest products, services and equipment for the sector.

Hillhead also provides a unique opportunity to see the equipment in action across four live demonstration areas.

Who is exhibiting?

The Hillhead 2026 exhibitor list will be available in the months prior to the show. You can view the previous  exhibitor list here

Who will be demonstrating?

The demonstrations for 2026 will be announced in the months prior to the show. Please see the Demonstration page for details of who demonstrated at the previous  event.

Can children attend?

NO.  Due to the nature of the event, children under the age of 16 will not be admitted to the show under any circumstances. We advise younger visitors to bring ID as checks will be in operation.

Are dogs/animals allowed?

No. Unless required for assistance, animals are not permitted on-site at any time.  Visitors with a disability should contact the organisers in advance so that assistance arrangements can be made. 

Is there disabled access?

Due to the site conditions visitors requiring assistance should contact the organisers well in advance so that the necessary provisions can be made.

Where can I stay?

Accommodation in the area surrounding Hillhead is in high demand during the show and we recommend booking early.

Is there car parking?

Yes, car parking is free at Hillhead and we have plenty of car parking space available with shuttle busses to and from the Registration Pavilion.

Can I travel by train?

Yes. Buxton Station is approximately 3km from the showground. For details of services visit National Rail Enquiries.

Is food & drink available?

Yes. We have several food outlets serving a range of hot and cold food and drinks and catering to various dietary requirements at the show. 

Hillhead Cafe is located within the Showground Pavilion, there are mobile units at various locations around the site and a catering kiosk within the Registration Pavilion. 

Water refill stations, sponsored by Siemens Financial Services, are located at the Registration Area, Showground Pavilion, and in the Organiser's Office. Refillable bottles will be available to purchase but visitors are encouraged to bring their own.

Is there internet access?

Yes. There are free WiFi hot spots across the exhibition site. Please collect a site map on arrival for locations.

Are cash machines available?

There are no cash machines onsite and we advise visitors to bring cash with them. The cafe and catering outlets have facilities to take card payments.

What should I wear?

Hillhead takes place in a quarry, the ground is uneven and consists of loose rock and gravel. We request that visitors wear sturdy, suitable footwear. Sandals, flip-flips, high-heels and pumps are not appropriate and may cause injury.

Also allow for British summer weather - rain coats and sun cream. 

Is there a cloakroom?

There is no official cloakroom at the event. 

I don't work in the industry, can I attend? 

No, Hillhead is a trade exhibition for those working in the industry and is not open to members of the public.
