Hillhead 2026 takes place from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 June at Tarmac's Hillhead Quarry, Near Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9PR. 

Visiting press members are invited to use the Show's official press hospitality lounge which can be found on stand H1.

The exhibition takes place from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 June 2026. It is held at Tarmac's Hillhead Quarry, Near Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9PR

What are the opening times?

  • Tuesday 23 June 09:00 – 17:30
  • Wednesday 24 June 09:00 – 17:30
  • Thursday 25 June 09:00 – 16:00

Who organises the event?

The show is organised by Nottingham-based The QMJ Group, specialist magazine publishers and exhibition organisers for the quarrying, concrete and associated industries.

How often does the event take place?

The show was established in 1982 and moved to Hillhead the following year, where it takes place every other year.

How many exhibitors and visitors attend?

Just under 600 exhibitors took part in the last show in 2024, which was attended by 19,500 visitors.

How big is the exhibition area?

The showground covers an area (gross) of approximately 140,000m². The net stand space occupied in 2024 was 66,657m² and the demonstration areas extend to around 30,000m².

What is unique about the event?

The working demonstration areas are what make Hillhead unique. There are four separate demonstration areas:

  • Quarry face for large excavators, face shovels, hydraulic breakers, wheel loaders and dumptrucks
  • Rock processing for crushers, screens, scalping grids and stockpiling conveyors
  • Recycling area for crushing, shredding, screening and washing equipment
  • Registration area for rock processing and recycling demonstrations

What industries are covered by the event?

Quarrying, mining, recycling, heavy construction, materials handling, concrete, asphalt, road surfacing, civil engineering, plant hire, demolition and landfill.
