Crusher Alley: see rock processing demonstrations in action

Fondly referred to as ‘Crusher Alley’, the Rock Processing Demo Area is one of Hillhead’s biggest attractions, drawing visitors to the western end of the showground to see crushers, screens, and conveyors operating in live working conditions.

Between 10:00 and 15:45 each day, leading manufacturers will demonstrate the latest crushing and screening technology in a programme of scheduled live demonstrations. Running to a published timetable, visitors can easily move between exhibitors and compare a wide range of equipment in action. Material extracted from the adjacent Quarry Face demonstration area feeds complete processing trains, allowing visitors to follow the journey from primary crushing through to screening, and stockpiling.

With a host of new products and technologies set to feature, visitors will see how the latest advances in crushing, screening and material processing are helping operators maximise throughput, improve product quality and reduce operating costs. From fuel-efficient powertrains and hybrid-electric drives to intelligent control systems, remote monitoring and automated machine settings, Crusher Alley offers a unique opportunity to see the future of quarrying, recycling and aggregate processing at work in a real quarry environment.
