DS8 Dust Suppression Unit

The fully assembled vehicle is suitable for dust suppression, site, road & machinery cleaning, soil stabilisation & ground preparation applications, drainage solutions, fire control & water management capabilities, and demolition & construction sites. The tank has a capacity of 8,000L and is equipped with rear pressurised spray heads, pressure hose reel/nozzle, suction pump systems along with a gravity-fed dribble bar, meanwhile control valves regulate the pressure and flow rate of water to give an even spread pattern with an adjustable spread width up to 14m and variable flow rates of 200 to 800 litres a minute. The powerful hydraulic self-priming water suction pump allows for filling from a water source using a 3” suction hose with intake filter/strainer and the unit is fitted with three rear separate spray head nozzle deflector plates to reduce the amount of water required for dust suppression.

The in-house designed software control system plays a key role in automating, monitoring, and optimising water usage and spraying operations on a work site. It features a timer function to ensure that the pumps are not left running for an extended time inadvertently and comes with a range of safety interlocks for safe operation such as a low & high level sensor to automatically control filling and emptying. An in-cab touchscreen controls the suction pump, dribble bar, three splash plate deflector nozzle heads, tank level indicators, and hose reel/nozzle wash down features.

The water tanker and dumper are interchangeable meaning the machine can easily be adapted to suit your requirements. The demountable body is fitted with tank stands to store for when it’s not in use, and the DV body is equipped with a pin and bolt system for easy removal or reattachment.

•Tank stands: each tank is supplied with demountable stands for safely leaving the tanker on the ground when not fitted to the unit.
•Stone Trap: each tank is fitted with an easy access stone, mud, and rubbish trap for ease of cleaning.
•Easily accessible filter fitted to dribble bar.
•Top quick fill point with splash guard.
•Extension cable to make use of the existing Wacker Neuson camera system. It can easily be fitted back to the dumper when tank system is not fitted.
•Extension cable supplied to make use of the existing lighting and safety system: reversing sensor, lighting, camera and buzzer.
•Water level sight tube gauge on front of the tank for driver monitoring.
•More compact than a similar tractor and tanker combination, and easier to transport two via low-bed.
•Easy to operate using existing ticketed dumper and ADT drivers.
