Amber Valley Electric Vehicle Alarm (AVAS)

While powered but stationery the AVAS system emits a low level white noise/engine sound to simulate an idling engine. Volume and pitch increase with speed up to 20mph, when it cuts out as the road noise takes over. AVAS remains muted when either ‘Park’ or handbrake is applied. When reverse gear is selected front speaker is muted and rear speaker emits a fixed db warning. Range of alarms to suit all types of electric and hybrid vehicles from cars through to vans, trucks and buses.

There are multiple versions of the alarms:

White Noise Versions

AVAS02WN 12-24V – HEAVY VEHICLE

Single alarm with electronics built in ideally suited to smaller vehicles and urban delivery vans, warns VRU’s that a quiet vehicle is approaching.

This system has an independent ECU completely waterproof 6 way superseal connector for all the inputs and a 4 way superseal connector with 2×2 way female connectors to connect the alarms. The second alarm being optional as most commercial vehicles already have reversing alarms fitted.

There are six input cables:
Red – +12v/24v
Black – Earth
Green – Speed Signal
White – Handbrake +VE
Yellow – Handbrake -VE
Brown – Reverse

This part that come with a USB lead so that the message can be reprogrammed by the customer, should they need to.
