Site preparations in full swing for Hillhead 2026

With six weeks to go, our programme of site improvements are ahead of schedule, as we get ready to welcome you from 23-25 June.

A major upgrade to the Hillhead Wi-Fi network is well underway, with 1.5km of fibre ring being extended across the site to significantly enhance connectivity. The improvements will support a greater number of free visitor hot spots, while also enabling even better digital solutions and online services for exhibitors across the showground.

A site survey has now been completed for the temporary EE/BT mobile phone mast, which is scheduled for installation next month to further strengthen on-site connectivity during the show.

The dedicated ‘Red’ exhibitor car park will return at the east end of the site for 2026, larger than ever before, with extensive groundworks and site improvements now underway to create a more accessible, vehicle-friendly arrival area for exhibitors.

A major upgrade to the site water system begins next week, splitting the showground into two independent zones to improve water flow and support an increased number of toilet facilities across the site.

Around 20,000 tonnes of run-of-quarry stone are currently being moved into position following blasting operations, ready for the live equipment demonstrations.
