Reducing the carbon footprint of mobile equipment

Reducing the carbon footprint of mobile equipment

Both politically and socially, decarbonization is a major focus for all parts of society. The construction industry is not exempt from this pressure in both legislation and increasing customer demand.

There are many technological innovations and options available to reduce a construction machinery’s dependence on fossil fuels, some of which are more suitable than others.

As part of the ‘Time to Flick the Switch’ session, Michael O’Neill, engineering director for Terex Materials Processing, will be presenting his ‘Decarbonization in the crushing and screening sector’ paper, which discusses the need for OEMs and equipment suppliers to adopt sustainable practices and how reducing their carbon footprint can deliver substantial cost savings throughout the construction supply chain.

Mr O’Neill will reference how the climate change topic relates to the mobile crushing and screening equipment sector, explore the local and global market trends and highlight the various technology options available and their full benefits in aggregate and mineral processing.
