Rock Extraction Ltd makes its world debut at Hillhead 2026 with the launch of RKX-Volt 100k — ground-breaking, disruptive technology that delivers a unique technical breakthrough in primary rock fragmentation. This fully electric breaker replaces or complements conventional drilling and blasting.

Powered by German technology, the lightweight RKX-Volt 100k weighs just 3 tonnes yet delivers 100,000 joules of single-strike energy, equivalent to 17–20 grams of commercial explosives and 20 times the impact of a hydraulic hammer. Compatible with any 20-tonne class excavator carrier, it features native telemetry and data collection for targeted maintenance.

Designed to operate without explosives, noise, or shock to the breaker or carrier, it performs where blasting is prohibited, impractical, or under growing regulatory pressure — quarrying, construction, demolition, and recycling.

Eliminating the full blast cost chain delivers significant cost reduction and operational simplification. Fully electric operation cuts fuel and oil costs, supports ESG commitments, and enables green and sustainable energy to reduce emissions further.
