A view of the Hillhead show ground from the western end of the quarry

Fortop Automation Ltd

Stand: PA33

Four pioneering sensor and signalling brands come together on Stand PA33 as fortop Automation & Energy Control (fortop UK) makes its debut at Hillhead 2026 – the UK's most significant quarrying and construction exhibition – bringing a purposeful selection of industrial sensor, signalling and safety solutions that address the real operational demands construction professionals encounter every day on site.

Commenting for fortop UK, managing director Steven Hill says: “Hillhead represents the heart of the construction and quarrying industry in the UK. We are attending not merely to exhibit, but to start genuine conversations about the safety and operational challenges that professionals face in the sector every single day.”

The stand brings together four distinct product families and brands, each selected for its relevance to heavy-duty construction and quarrying environments where reliability, precision and safety are non-negotiable.

Tilt sensors for safety-critical applications
DIS Sensors develops MEMS‑based tilt switches and inclinometers that give construction machines precise, dependable angle monitoring, even in punishing site conditions. Certified up to SIL2 and PLd, these safety‑rated sensors help operators keep booms, baskets and chassis within safe working limits on slopes, ramps and uneven ground. Single and dual‑axis variants provide generous mounting freedom on mobile equipment, so designers can place a compact sensor wherever a stable tilt reference protects people, payload and machine stability.

Robust light towers for clear site signalling
Austrian‑engineered signal towers from Auer Signal deliver intense, unmistakable visual and acoustic warnings across noisy, dust‑laden construction environments. Built for continuous industrial duty, they perform reliably from simple status indication through to complex machine signalling on site.

Pull-wire and belt pulley switches
Steute’s switches bring robust, proven emergency-stop capability to conveyor systems and long-run plant installations. Drawing on more than 50 years of industrial switching experience, they maintain safe operation under moisture, dust and temperature extremes.

3D radar sensors for zone protection
Inxpect 3D radar safety systems create reliable protective zones around mobile construction vehicles, even in dust, mud and spray where optical sensors struggle. The technology detects the slightest body movements around earthmovers, drilling rigs and other off-highway equipment and vehicles, ensuring operators cannot control machinery near people in potential blind spots and hazardous rear or side areas.

fortop UK invites engineers, procurement professionals, plant managers, and safety leads to visit Stand PA33 at Hillhead, where the company’s Safety Specialists will be available to discuss specific application needs, walk visitors through the full product range, and recommend the most effective route to achieving a safer, better‑monitored operation.
