Peristaltic Pumps are as known as ‘hose pumps’, or ‘roller pumps’ as the fluid is pushed along a hose by internal rollers. The peristaltic pumping principle is a form of positive displacement, which is ideal for shear-sensitive fluids, high dry-matter sludges, and slurry containing large suspended solids.
