A Logical Next Step For those familiar with Plant Parts, this development is a natural and exciting progression. Established in 1991 by Richard Finch, the company has grown into one of the UK’s largest independent construction machinery parts suppliers, supporting customers in more than 100 countries. Its Suffolk site combines extensive parts stockholding with a specialist workshop that has, since 2008, focused on hydrostatic diagnostics, repair, and reconditioning. The workshop already handles repairs and overhauls of final drives, swing drives, and hydrostatic gearboxes, with teardown and inspection included as standard. Components arrive from around the world, supported by free UK collection and EU Inward Processing Authorisation, allowing Plant Parts to operate as a significant international repair centre. The new test facility builds directly on this capability. What Makes the Facility Different Arriving on site as we go to print, The Rig has been designed specifically for load testing swing drive and final drive hydraulic motors, with capacity up to 132 kW and coverage from 18cc to 340cc units. At the heart of the system is an electronic dynamometer, enabling motors to be tested under conditions that closely replicate real-world machine operation.
