ARROW 770 KERBMAKER

Arrow Machinery - Australia Stand: RD7

ARROW 770 KERBMAKER

The KERBMAKER eliminates all types of form work and guide rails and produces a first class result with comparatively unskilled labor.  Propelled forward by a special action, it extrudes compacted concrete at the rear.  The accuracy in both line and level is easily maintained by the use of a guide line and pointer.

The automatic machine incorporates the basic functions of manual hydraulic controls with the facility to select automatic cross level, plus automatic line and height controls.  Conversely, manual control may be achieved by isolating the electrical circuits with the switches provided.

The machine is powered by a flexibly mounted 16hp synchro-balanced petrol engine with duplex chain driving the heavy duty reduction box and rugged ram mechanism.

With the KERBMAKER, a small operating team of three men (minimum) will produce high strength kerb and channel at a maximum rate of approx. 2 meters per minute, using 5-10mm maximum slump concrete with maximum water content for that slump.

The primary unit may be used with interchangeable moulds to provide median strips, barrier kerb, mountable kerb, kerb and channel and footpath (slab) in many sizes.

The KERBMAKER is designed to extrude shapes having a maximum width of 690mm and in the region of 2600square centimeters of cross sectional area.

Widening kits for the primary unit are necessary to allow the use of moulds having widths from 691mm to 1220mm.

Two screw jack operated wheels on the machine allow the machine to be set up for initial forming and for transporting around the job site. The KERBMAKER cannot be towed behind a prime mover, as serious damage could occur to the wheel support system.

The Automatic Kerbmaker, as shown on the attached brochure with hydraulic/electric system, complete with sensor box to automatically follow the stringline at the same time maintaining automatic height and cross-level control.

The moulds for the extruded concrete, engine, gearbox and ram operating mechanism are the same for all three models and are interchangeable.  The drive engine mentioned is a twin cylinder 16hp Briggs & Stratton 4 stroke petrol engine fitted with 12 volt electric start and charging system.

Note: With each order for mould units, we require a fully dimensioned drawing of the cross section required.  Without this drawing, it is not possible to fully process your order and may lead to delays in supply.

All moulds are custom made to your order and are not normally carried in stock because of the multitude of cross sections required by the various authorities.  All moulds are fitted with a slurry/grout hopper as standard.

An essential tool in the operation of the Automatic machine is the stringline peg and assembly.  These are specially designed and consist of a sliding block assy. extending arm and stringline holder made to suit a 19mm x 916mm long steel peg.  100 of these assys. and pegs are required and can be supplied as an extra.
