VEGA to highlight smart measurement technology
The VEGAPULS 6X radar sensor is designed for continuous level measurement of liquids and bulk solids

AT Hillhead 2026, VEGA will showcase a range of level and pressure measurement technologies to help quarry operators improve process efficiency, maintain compliance and enhance operational reliability.

A key focus of the company’s stand will be the use of radar and radiometric measurement technologies in demanding quarrying environments. Among the solutions on display will be the VEGAPULS 6X radar level sensor, which provides non-contact measurement across applications ranging from crushers and crash boxes to screen houses, storage bins and silos.

Designed to operate reliably in dusty, high-vibration environments, the technology helps operators monitor material levels, prevent blockages and optimize production processes. For more challenging applications, VEGA will also highlight their radiometric measurement solutions, which provide non-intrusive monitoring in environments where extreme temperatures, pressure or difficult process conditions limit the use of conventional instrumentation.

The company will also demonstrate its remote monitoring capabilities using the VEGAPULS Air sensor and the VEGA Inventory System. The technology helps operators remotely monitor stock levels in silos, tanks, and storage bins, improving inventory management, logistics planning, and operational visibility across multiple sites.

With hazardous-area compliance remaining a priority for many operators, VEGA will showcase instrumentation certified for use in ATEX-, UKEX- and DSEAR-regulated environments, including applications in bitumen storage, processing systems, and bulk material-handling operations.

Alongside their product portfolio, VEGA will highlight their System Health Check service, which combines inspection, performance testing and parameter optimization to help maintain measurement accuracy, support compliance requirements and reduce the risk of unplanned downtime.

Visitors to the stand will be able to discuss specific application requirements with VEGA specialists and learn how modern measurement technologies can support safer, more efficient quarrying operations.
