SDLG to highlight electric and conventional equipment range

SHANDONG Lingong Construction Machinery (SDLG) will use Hillhead 2026 to showcase their latest construction equipment innovations, with a strong focus on electrification, efficiency, and customer support across the UK market. Across the three show days, the Chinese OEM and its dealer network will present a range of machines designed to offer a practical alternative to established brands.

‘We understand that UK customers demand high-quality, productive machines supported by reliable service,’ said Hakan Ilhan, general manager for North Europe, UK and Ireland at SDLG. ‘In today’s market, many are open to exploring new options. Although SDLG has over 50 years of heritage, some customers will be meeting us for the first time, and we are confident they will recognize the value we offer.’

Key highlights include the L958HEV electric wheel loader, equipped with a 350kWh battery delivering up to 10h of operation, alongside dual independent motors for the drivetrain and hydraulics to maximize traction and performance.

The display will also include the L959H diesel wheel loader, the compact 2.7-tonne ER627H excavator and the 21-tonne E6215H excavator, supported by a wide range of attachments for different applications.

SDLG say they have invested more than eight years in electric-vehicle development at their Linyi R&D facilities, with more than 3,500 electric machines already operating worldwide and accumulating over 1 million working hours.

The company’s latest-generation electric machines combine proven performance, advanced battery technology, and scalable manufacturing, supporting productivity and the industry’s transition towards lower-emission construction equipment. All machines are engineered with world-class components, including high-performance engines, state-of-the-art battery packs, and advanced hydraulic systems, ensuring durability and efficiency even in the toughest environments.

According to SDLG, Europe, particularly the UK, remains a key strategic focus as the company continues to expand its dealer network, strengthen regional service capabilities, and develop electric equipment solutions tailored to local market needs.
