Hillhead 2026: Wirtgen ‘You’ll never crush alone’

UNDER the motto ‘You’ll never crush alone’, the Wirtgen Group are showcasing end-to-end solutions for materials processing and road construction at Hillhead 2026. The display will feature five crushers and screening plants from Kleemann, alongside a battery-electric production system for road rehabilitation, delivering zero operating emissions.

Materials processing exhibits
The Kleemann Mobicat MC 110 Evo2 is an intelligent jaw crusher designed for pre-crushing quarried stone and various recycling applications. It offers efficient pre-screening, high plant performance, and intuitive SPECTIVE control, making it a flexible option for operators.

The Mobirex MR 100 NEOe impact crusher, paired with the Mobiscreen MSS 502 Evo screening plant, provides a compact, all-electric solution for processing demolition debris, concrete, reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP), and quarried stone. With the Dual-Power option, both machines can operate entirely on electric power.

Kleemann’s screening portfolio is further represented by the Mobiscreen MSS 502 Evo, MSS 802 Evo, and MSC 702 Evo – versatile plants with adjustable parameters, high process reliability, and electric dual-power drives that enhance flexibility and efficiency.

Road construction machinery
For road construction, Wirtgen will present a zero-emission production system consisting of the W 50 Re cold milling machine, Super 1300-5e paver, and HX 70e tandem roller. According to the company, this is the first modular battery-electric road construction system in the UK, offering fully coordinated, emission-free operation.

Also on display will be the Multi Jet Burner from Benninghoven, which is said to be the world’s first asphalt burner compatible with green hydrogen, delivering CO2-free asphalt production at mixing plants.

In the rental sector, the company will be showcasing the Hamm HD 12 G VV tandem roller and the HC 70i VIO compactor, offering versatile solutions for compaction via vibration or oscillation.

At Hillhead 2026, the Wirtgen Group will showcase more than just construction equipment. The company’s portfolio integrates applications expertise, a comprehensive customer service network, and advanced digital solutions to assist customers with their daily operations.

Paul Holmes, managing director of Wirtgen UK, highlights the company’s notable role in driving digital transformation across the industry, particularly through Jobsite Intelligence and Smart Automation.

‘Jobsite Intelligence helps operators make smarter decisions using validated performance data,’ said Mr Holmes. ‘The Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker lets customers monitor and analyse data, adjust plans on the fly, document work, and turn insights into tangible profitability.

Smart Automation maximizes precision and efficiency using digital tools such as Smart Level Pro, Smart Pave, Smart Compact Pro, AutoPilot 2.0, and SPECTIVE CONNECT. ‘Even less experienced operators can achieve results comparable to seasoned professionals,’ Mr Holmes added. ‘This reduces refinishing work, optimizes material usage, and improves overall quality and cost efficiency.’
