Hillhead 2026: LiuGong to introduce new machines and electric equipment

LIUGONG will use Hillhead 2026 to showcase a range of new machines and application-focused solutions for the quarrying, construction, and recycling sectors.

The company’s 12-machine display will feature at least 10 Hillhead debuts, alongside two new application packages designed to demonstrate performance across quarrying, infrastructure, earthmoving, demolition, and battery-electric equipment applications.

Among the highlights will be the UK launch of the 925FCR, a 25-tonne short-tail excavator developed as part of LiuGong’s UK-led product development programme. The company will also display the 838TE electric wheel loader and 924FE electric excavator, both of which have been deployed on major construction, quarrying, and recycling projects.

LiuGong’s expanding battery-electric portfolio will be further represented by the 8110TE 40-tonne electric wheel loader, DR50CE electric mining truck and 4280DE electric motor grader, demonstrating the Chinese manufacturer’s growing capabilities in heavy-duty quarrying and mining applications.

LiuGong’s Hillhead presence will also focus on practical application expertise and proven machine performance, demonstrating how its equipment, people, and support network help customers meet the demands of modern worksites. The company says the approach is part of its wider European strategy to strengthen its understanding of key industry sectors and customer applications.

That is why the demonstrations are so important. They give us the chance to bring the LiuGong story to life, from 60 years of wheel loader expertise to the next generation of BEV performance.’

The company’s wider machinery line-up at this year’s Hillhead show will include the 909FCR compact excavator, 933F DM demolition excavator, 956F HD excavator, 877T wheel loader, 6612F roller, and 848TE electric wheel loader, offering visitors an overview of the company’s latest developments across multiple sectors and applications.

Hillhead 2026 will also provide an opportunity for LiuGong to celebrate 60 years of wheel loader manufacturing. Since producing its first modernized wheel loader in 1966, the earthmoving OEM has supplied more than 600,000 wheel loaders worldwide and today manufactures more than 30,000 units annually.

The anniversary will form part of LiuGong’s Hillhead showcase, highlighting the evolution of the company’s wheel loader range and the development of its latest T-Series and battery-electric models.

Live demonstrations will also be a key part of LiuGong’s Hillhead showcase, giving visitors the opportunity to see machines operating in a practical quarry environment and to discuss specific applications with the company’s product specialists. Particular emphasis will be placed on battery-electric equipment, with demonstration machines supported by charging infrastructure and a battery energy storage system (BESS).

These demonstrations and displays will provide visitors with an opportunity to assess machine performance and better understand the operational and environmental benefits of battery-electric equipment.

Hillhead will also provide a platform for LiuGong to showcase their support network underpinning its growing UK presence, including dealer development, parts availability, after-sales support, and on-site application expertise.
