Finning line up latest Caterpillar technology for Hillhead

FINNING are set to bring the latest in construction technology to Hillhead following an exclusive technology preview event at Caterpillar’s Malaga Demonstration and Learning Centre.

The three-day preview in Spain was attended by delegates from Finning UK and Ireland and focused on how technology can help business owners tackle the industry's toughest challenges, including the skills shortage, productivity, safety, efficiency, and operational bottlenecks.

Over the course of the Malaga showcase, experts from Caterpillar led five immersive workshops that included keynote sessions, live machine demonstrations, and hands-on opportunities with the latest machines and technology.

As part of these sessions, Caterpillar showcased its Cat command technology, which provides full machine manoeuvrability from a safe distance in hazardous environments, removing operators from potential hazards and increasing on-site safety.

To further support on-site safety, Caterpillar demonstrated the latest updates to its VisionLink telematics platform, which provides users with real-time data on machine location, fuel usage, and utilisation, as well as the ability to monitor operational efficiency.

To help customers continue streamlining their operations, Finning will bring this technology to Hillhead 2026. The Finning team will be on hand to offer insight into the critical factors shaping the future of the quarrying and construction industries, and the advanced applications on offer to help them work smarter.

During Hillhead, Finning will not only showcase the latest technology from Caterpillar but will also be available to discuss integrated support packages, including the deployment of digital technology features, data analysis, and on-site training to help customers address on-site challenges.
