DIGGER GUARD launch Clearview secondary glazing for heavy machinery cabs

DIGGER GUARD, the British manufacturers behind the award-winning patented Vandal Guard range and polymer handrail systems, have officially launched their new Clearview secondary glazing at Hillhead 2026, marking the latest expansion of the company's heavy machinery protection portfolio.

Designed as a durable external sacrificial impact shield fitted over existing cab glass, the high-performance polycarbonate screen acts as a virtually unbreakable first line of defence against flying debris, vandalism, and high-velocity impacts.

By absorbing and dispersing impact energy before it reaches the original glazing, Clearview helps protect operators, preserve expensive OEM cab glass, reduce repair costs, and minimize machine downtime.

The innovative LEXAN MARGARD hard-coated polycarbonate glazing solution is being introduced alongside two additional product launches – Sky Shield weather defender kits and high-vis polymer outrigger pads.

The range of fully removable, non-invasive Sky Shield weather defender kits for open-cab machinery are impact-resistant, glass-like polymer panels designed to protect operators from UV exposure, rain, wind, airborne debris, and fixed object hazards. Quick on/off versatility allows easy adaptation for indoor or outdoor use requirements.

DIGGER GUARD have also introduced high-vis polymer outrigger pads, designed to provide reliable ground stabilization for heavy plant and utility vehicles. Available as off-the-shelf and custom, brandable solutions, the pads can be tailored to specific site and application requirements.

The three new products strengthen DIGGER GUARD's commitment to improving safety, durability, and operational uptime across the construction, agriculture, quarrying, demolition, and plant hire sectors.

Visitors to Stand S10 can see Clearview secondary glazing on a Hitachi ZX135US excavator, Sky Shield on a Yanmar ViO17 mini excavator, and outrigger pads firsthand, alongside DIGGER GUARD’s flagship Vandal Guard and polymer handrail systems.
