BARRUS have hailed Hillhead 2026 as another highly successful exhibition, having welcomed visitors to their stand, where the company showcased the latest industrial engine technologies from Yanmar and John Deere.

As the UK distributor for Yanmar and John Deere industrial engines, Barrus showcased a comprehensive range of Stage V-compliant diesel engines, highlighting the latest advances in power, efficiency and emissions technology for off-highway equipment manufacturers and operators.

The display featured Yanmar's L Series, 3TNV76, 3TNV80FT, 4TNV98CT, and 4TN107 engines, alongside John Deere's JD4, JD14 and JD18 engines. Throughout the show, visitors could discuss their application requirements with Barrus' experienced technical and service team, receiving expert advice on engine integration, performance, and long-term support.

Richard Egan, head of industrial at Barrus, commented: ‘Hillhead remains one of the most important events in the calendar for the quarrying and construction industries. Despite the extreme temperatures and dust, the show proved to be another excellent event. We had some very positive conversations with both existing customers and new contacts. It was a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the strengths of the Yanmar and John Deere engine ranges and to discuss how Barrus can support customers with complete power solutions.’

Indeed, the company also highlighted its aftermarket support capabilities, with Mike Nyren, head of aftermarket, on hand to discuss the availability of genuine parts, servicing, and product support throughout the engine lifecycle.

The stand served as a welcome meeting point for visitors throughout the three-day exhibition, offering an opportunity to discuss current projects, future equipment developments, and the latest engine technologies with the Barrus team.

Visitors could also support the Royal British Legion by making a donation in exchange for a Yanmar- or John Deere-branded cap. Over the course of the show, Barrus raised £100 for the charity.

Mr Egan concluded: ‘We'd like to thank everyone who took the time to visit the stand. We look forward to continuing the conversations and supporting customers with their engine requirements in the months ahead.’
