Neil Hedley, operations manager at ACE Plant

AT Hillhead 2026, ACE Plant will demonstrate a range of technologies designed to improve site safety, reduce environmental impact and enhance operational efficiency in demanding working environments.

Exhibiting on stand H14 and within the live demonstration area, the company will place a strong focus on dust suppression, with live demonstrations featuring a John Deere 6155M tractor coupled to a 9,000-litre dust-suppression unit equipped with spinning-disc and rain-gun technology.

The machine will also feature the D80 Ball and Spoon towing system, safety chains, and a tractor bumper protection system. With growing industry focus on airborne dust and respirable crystalline silica (RCS), effective dust control has become a critical priority for operators.

ACE Plant's mobile dust suppression range has been developed to provide reliable, practical solutions for challenging site conditions. Alongside the dust suppression demonstrations, visitors will be able to see the D80 Ball and Spoon coupling system.

Designed to reduce shock loading between the towing vehicle and the trailer, the system helps minimize vibration transfer, improve towing stability, and reduce stress on both operators and equipment.

Whole-body vibration (WBV) remains a concern across the quarrying, construction, and agriculture sectors, and ACE Plant believe that improved towing technology can play an important role in enhancing operator comfort and site safety.

Confirmed equipment on display from ACE Plant will include:

  • John Deere 6M155 tractor with dust-suppression unit, D80 Ball and Spoon coupling and tractor bumper
  • QuickSpray 1800 dust suppression unit
  • DT400 dust suppression bowser
  • New 1,000-litre Modular Bundie Fuel Bowser
  • New 5,000/1,000 -litre Service Centre
  • HiSun electric utility vehicle
  • Kubota diesel utility vehicle
  • Michelin Tweel airless tyre technology
  • Eco Street solar-powered lighting systems
  • Eco Street solar- and wind-powered lighting solutions

The new Modular Bundie Fuel Bowser highlights ACE Plant's focus on flexible, practical equipment solutions, allowing contractors to adapt fuel storage and transport systems to suit changing site requirements.

Neil Hedley, operations manager at ACE Plant, commented: ‘Hillhead remains the premier event for our industry because it allows visitors to see equipment operating in genuine working conditions. Demonstrating dust suppression technology in a live quarry environment gives customers the opportunity to assess its performance and effectiveness firsthand.

‘Our aim is to help customers tackle key challenges facing modern sites, from dust control and operator welfare to sustainability and emissions reduction. Whether it's reducing whole-body vibration, improving towing safety, adopting alternative power technologies, or delivering more efficient site support equipment, we're focused on providing practical solutions that deliver measurable benefits.’
