Company’s lubricant and bitumen divisions to highlight their expertise and high-quality products
Total will showcase a range of products and value-added services to quarry operators and other users of heavy plant and equipment. With technical experts on hand, the company will highlight the many benefits of its products and services, which have been designed to increase productivity, reliability and economy, whilst meeting the latest specifications and manufacturer approvals.
With more than 45 years’ experience in the market, Total Bitumen, who claim to be the only fully integrated bitumen supplier in the UK, provide a range of high-quality bitumen products for road, construction and industrial applications – all designed to deliver maximum performance and sustainability.
Total Styrelf is Europe’s leading polymer-modified binder (PMB) and is an ideal solution for heavy-duty roads, bridges, airports and port cargo areas due to its exceptional resistance to permanent deformation and cold cracking.
Other Total bitumen brands include: Emulsis, a PMB emulsion for surface treatments; Azalt ECO2, a low-temperature asphalt binder; Kromatis, a clear binder for coloured asphalts; and Altek, a specialist industrial bitumen.
Total Bitumen work in partnership with customers as a trusted advisor to understand the challenges they face, and through this the company has identified six pillars of communication which underpin its proposition, and which it remains aligned to. These encompass supply chain security, skills, health and safety, asset management, low-working temperature and energy.
Total will also show lubricants and other related products developed specifically for construction, mining and earthmoving equipment.
These include: the Rubia Works range for engines; Dynatrans and Fluide lines for manual and automatic transmissions; Hydroflo, Equivis ZS and Azolla ZS ranges for hydraulic systems; Coolelf and Glacelf anti-freezes and coolant fluids; as well as biolubricant products such as Biotraffic.
According to Total, one of the world’s largest cement producers saved around £130,000 on fuel costs over a nine-month period after switching from a standard 15W-40 grade to Total Rubia Works 10W-40 FE.
At Hillhead 2018, the company will demonstrate how its unique, in-depth oil-analysis and diagnosis service, Total Anac (Analysis Compared), can reduce the likelihood of component failure and the risk of unplanned downtime, whilst increasing off-road equipment lifespan.
Lorraine Adams, area business manager for Total Lubricants, said: ‘As the number one event for the quarrying and aggregates sector, we look forward to showing operators how they can rely on Total to keep their machinery running at optimum performance levels, even in the most demanding conditions, whilst protecting the environment.
‘Alongside this, we see our customers as our partners and through continual research, innovation and communication, we will continue to develop and bring to market products, services and solutions that address their needs both now and in the future.’
