Power-transmission specialist to display the latest in driveline technology including new Twin Disc HP500 wet clutch
Going bigger at Hillhead 2018, Marine and Industrial Transmissions (MIT), suppliers of industrial driveline components, will be exhibiting with a brand new stand design, elevating their presence seen over the previous 20 years of attendance at the show.
With an impressive rebrand and an extensive product portfolio, MIT – on stand C33 – will be displaying the latest in innovative driveline technology, including: the new HP500 wet clutch power take-off (PTO) system from Twin Disc; and advanced HTV700 hybrid electric driveline system, designed and manufactured by Transfluid Italy.
Launched earlier this year, the heavy-duty HP500 PTO delivers 500hp at 1,800 rev/min and is suited to driving pumps, grinders, crushers, dredgers, chippers, shredders and heavy-duty drilling.
Showcasing the green credentials of hybrid technology, the Transfluid HTV700 system – which delivers up to 1,200hp in diesel and 200hp in electric power – allows the end-user to operate in three modes: electric propulsion, engine propulsion and booster.
In electric mode, the unit operates with zero emissions and minimal vibration, while switching to engine mode allows the electric element of the system to act as a generator for battery recharge. In booster mode, the HTV700 unit delivers extra torque by increasing acceleration via the electric motor.
MIT will also be displaying the latest pump drive technology from Technodrive, anti-vibration solutions from Rubber Design and compressed-air units from Quincy Compressors.
