Brand new X-Series JCB 220X to be shown in several variants across the company’s stand and demo area
AT Hillhead 2018, JCB will showcase their brand new X-Series 20-tonne tracked excavator model, designed to provide maximum operator comfort, durability and reliability in operation.
Over a four-year development period, JCB have undertaken a programme of intensive component and product testing to achieve increased levels of build quality and reliability for customers with their advanced JCB 220X crawler excavator.
The new machines feature a 15% larger cab with integral ROPS structure, reduced noise levels, a simple user interface and stronger side doors for greater strength and increased protection. Customers will also benefit from a central main boom mounting for increased digging accuracy and durability, and a 200mm wider upper-structure that delivers improved packaging.
Several variants of the machine will be shown across the JCB stand and demonstration area, including models in demolition specification, with full Topcon functionality and with Steelwrist fitted.
The new X-Series excavators will feature alongside a wide selection of machines from the extensive JCB range, including: the revolutionary JCB 7T-1 front-tip, hi-viz site dumper, the pioneering Hydradig 110W, the JCB Pilingmaster backhoe loader and a series of additional models from the company’s tracked excavator, wheeled excavator, wheel loader, site dumper, backhoe loader, generator, Loadall telehandler and compact equipment line-ups – all tailored to the demanding needs of the quarrying, demolition and recycling sectors.
