Affiliation with Sahara Force India pays dividends for breast cancer charity at Hillhead
With the pink Sahara Force India Formula One team car resplendent on the DUO Group stand at the recent Hillhead exhibition, DUO have contributed to the three-year target set by Sahara Force India of raising £250,000 for Breast Cancer Care.
Through an exhibition stand raffle, the company raised more than £1,800 across the three days of the show, which means 62 people affected by breast cancer will receive specialist information and support through Breast Cancer Care’s helpline at a time when they need it most.
Alex Moss, chief executive officer of DUO, commented: ‘This is only the start of our drive to support Breast Cancer Care. We will continue supporting the cause through our partnership with Sahara Force India and will use every opportunity to help them reach their three-year target. It’s a tremendously worthwhile cause which is making a real difference to people who have their lives impacted by breast cancer.’
2017 was the 25th anniversary of the famous pink ribbon, the global symbol for breast cancer, and was a successful season for Sahara Force India. Off track, the team helped its partner charity, Breast Cancer Care, raise funds that will enable it to reach the increasing number of people affected by breast cancer.
With the team’s VJM10 and VJM11 cars sporting their now classic pink colour, it was a logical step for Sahara Force India and Breast Cancer Care to join forces. The partnership was launched at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2017, the first race where the charity’s logo graced the VJM10 cars of Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon.
It was a statement of intent by the team, which unveiled its commitment to raise £250,000 in three years for the charity, and the DUO Group are fully committed to supporting this vital cause.
