Volvo Group UK Ltd will have a new stand layout for 2012 to showcase their hard and soft products - most of which are being exhibited for the first time in Great Britain.

Hillhead 2012 will be the first time when representative models form the full range of Tier IIIB machines will be on display - notably models from the smaller end of the wheel loader and excavator range. Being exhibited for the first time will be the EC250D crawler excavator along with a 30-tonne EC300D featuring a three-piece ultra-high demolition rig with a reach of 21m and 2.5-tonne tool capacity. Representing the wheel loader range is an L220G featuring a 13-litre Volvo engine and Volvo-designed and manufactured powertrain components. This unit has an operating weight of around 32 tonnes, depending on tyre and attachment options, and features buckets ranging between 4.5m3 and 14.0m3. The other end of the loader range is represented by an L60G featuring a 6-litre engine and fuel-saving 'Eco-pedal'.

Elsewhere on the stand, the display will feature representative models from Volvo's range of utility equipment, including compact excavators and the new DD25 2.5-tonne double-tandem asphalt roller. Road machinery will be represented by the company's popular wheeled ABG6870 paver and completing the display will be various truck models including the Volvo A40F articulated hauler together with Volvo Trucks models such as the FMX, which was introduced in the UK at Hillhead 2010, and the FH16 750hp.

A range of soft offerings will also be on display including Volvo Finance and customer support featuring customer service agreements and CareTrack telematics. Volvo Penta will also feature on the Volvo stand offering industrial power pack solutions to the construction industry. The benefits of Volvo's Eco Operator initiative will feature heavily once again, supported by two state-of-the-art simulators. Visitors to the stand will be invited to take the Eco challenge with an ultimate prize winner being announced daily. Elsewhere, visitors will find Volvo's usual merchandise shop offering a wide variety of official merchandise for sale. And once again, the company will be supporting the Lighthouse Club by handing out a novelty gift in return for a modest charitable donation.
