University of Derby Corporate (UDC) is the academic partner of the Institute of Quarrying, the Institute of Asphalt Technology, the Concrete Society and, most recently, the Road Surface Treatment Association. UDC provides a range of higher education courses designed to help build technical competence across the industries it supports, delivered by a specialist team all of whom have extensive industry experience.

This summer UDC is launching a new Higher Apprenticeship programme in Construction Materials Technology for the extractives and building products industries. This will help employers to attract new young talent into industry by providing an academic progression route alongside in-company development.
