Stocks Sweepers Ltd
Stocks Sweepers are one of the leading manufacturers of truck-mounted suction road sweepers such as the S6400 and S8400 models, which are said to bring new standards of cost, practicality and reliability to road sweeping and street cleaning. Both sweepers are equipped with a wide range of high-spec features including: Stocks' innovative, patent-granted Tempest leaf blower; reversing alarms and sirens; overhead suction boom; high-pressure washing system; 1,400 litres of on-board water storage on the S6400 and 2,000 litres on the S8400; and adjustable sideways positioning and simultaneous side brush operation. All are available to be fitted on a chassis of the customer's choice and specification.
The Tempest leaf blower attachment is an uncomplicated system which redirects waste air that would normally be exhausted to the atmosphere from the exhaust side of the suction fan impeller. This blows leaves off roads and footpaths and into the hedgerows, to mulch down naturally. The air nozzle can rotate through 110 degrees and can be moved from within the cab via an electrical cylinder. The airflow itself is fully adjustable with variable air force, and the sweeper can continue sweeping while the blower is in operation. With this system, trips to the landfill site are significantly reduced saving money for both the local authority and the operator, while also reducing the carbon footprint.
