At Hillhead 2012, Scania will be displaying two engines - a 13-litre DC13 Tier IV Final unit and a 16-litre DC16 Stage III B, Tier IV Interim - plus a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exhaust after-treatment system. The engines are from the company's recently-announced range and feature Scania EMS (engine management system), Scania XPI (extra-high-pressure injection) and SCR. Power outputs at 2,100 rev/min range from 257-368kW (350-500hp) for the 13-litre unit, and from 404-515kW (550-700hp) for the 16-litre unit.

Scania are one of the world's oldest established engine manufacturers and have more than 100 years of design, development and production experience under their belt. The company's engines are in service today in a wide variety of industrial applications worldwide. All Scania products are fully supported by the organization's international service network, which includes 90 points on the UK map and 1,000 throughout Europe, plus extensive further representation globally.
