KVM International A/S will be launching a new generation of drying drums for the asphalt industry using their patented 'four-point temperature measuring system' where the temperature development of the drying process through the drum can be monitored.

KVM's stand this year will be focused around RAP addition where the challenge is to add as much RAP as possible while ensuring that investment in new equipment delivers a quick return on investment. The company's latest drying drums allows up to 50% RAP to be added, giving a high-quality dried mixture of virgin aggregates and RAP at a constant temperature during its discharge from the drying drum. A newly designed discharge chute secures a clean trouble-free discharge into the asphalt plant. The virgin aggregates and RAP mixture in the drying drum protects the filter bags in the bag house from sticky bitumen fumes, thereby extending the service life of the bags.
