At Hillhead 2012, a new range of JCB heavyline and compact products for the quarrying and aggregate industries will making its debut. Replacing the 456 at the top of the JCB wheeled loading shovel range, the new 457 model is equipped with a Stage IIIB-compliant (Tier 4 Interim) engine offering increased power and torque as well as reduced fuel consumption. All of JCB's tracked excavators have been significantly enhanced with a new cab, improved styling and major efficiency gains across the range.

The company's machinery line-up at the show will include the new JS360, JS260 and JS220 models, all of which have received upgrades and fuel efficiency savings of up to 11%. Further tailor-made products for the sector on show will include: wheeled excavators; compaction equipment; compact excavators; telehandlers; lighting towers; skid-steer loaders and generators. During the show, a selection of JCB models will also perform application-specific roles in the JCB demonstration area.
