J D UltranSonics' dry-fog dust-suppression systems control virtually all types of -5 micron respirable dust as well as larger size fugitive dust up to 600 microns. Control is achieved through agglomeration of ultrasonically produced water droplets equal or close to the size of the dust particles (including silica sand, limestone etc). The dry fog system suppresses visible emissions from primary and secondary crushing, screening, transfer and loading/unloading facilities.

This year, J D UltraSonics will be demonstrating their full range of ultrasonic atomizing nozzles for dust-suppression applications along with additional nozzles designed to capture airborne dust over large open areas. The 'sonicom' atomizing nozzles utilize a compressed air supply and simple on/off controls to suppress respirable dust as small as 0.1-3 microns with the added advantage of large liquid ports that prevent clogging and malfunction and in turn reduce maintenance.
