Hycontrol, specialists in solids and liquids measurement, will be focusing on quarry safety systems and 'best engineered' turnkey level solutions at Hillhead 2012. The company will be using the show to officially launch their SPS 2000 silo protection pod, together with a proven safe alternative to nucleonics (gamma radiation) for blocked chute detection. The SPS 2000, the world's first fully integrated silo overfill protection system, is simply fitted via a single flange at the top of the silo while all the critical components can be tested at ground level before every fill. Hycontrol - who already have a strong track record supplying RBA- and MPA-compliant silo safety systems - say the SPS 2000 unit improves safety and productivity and reduces site operational costs.

Also on show and demonstration will be the company's microwave blocked chute/flow detector, which provides a safe, non-invasive solution with none of the potential radiation hazards of nucleonic technology.

Hycontrol will be displaying their full range of level-measuring technology, including radar, ultrasonic, TDR (guided wave radar), capacitance, vibration, paddle and special purpose overfill protection panels.

Technical experts will also be on hand to explain the major benefits of utilizing single-source level measurement in terms of system reliability, functionality, performance and cots. They will also detail Hycontrol's new installation division, which offers integrated level systems from site survey through to installation, commissioning and training.
