Davis Derby design and manufacture electronic control/monitoring equipment and data-logging systems. The company's core products are safety and communication systems for arduous/hazardous environments such as quarries, mines, ports, cement plants and oil and gas platforms.

The StedFAST range of conveyor protection devices provides a comprehensive family of safety and protection products that includes pullkeys, belt alignment and tear sensors, spillage detectors, and sequencing and slip rollers. There is also a pease probe to alert operators to hazards ranging from a blocked chute to unacceptable liquid levels. In addition, Davis Derby have developed Trucklog TK5 modules, which provides driver control access, damage reporting/investigation, driver training needs and vehicle service and maintenance schedules.

At Hillhead, the company will be introducing a new pullkey, incorporating slack wire indication that is suitable for use in an extended temperature range from -40 degrees C to 50 degrees C.
